Domains (Knowledge and Inheritance)
Domain (of Inheritance, knowledge, or other operational research area). Replacing ‘Environment’ with ‘Domain of Inheritance’. The Domain of Inheritance captures the wider context the actor inherits, enforcing a broader rather than a narrow ideology. It sufficiently addresses the ‘Worldview’ (W) aspect of CATWOE, although it may need frequent revisiting, for example, if the basis of our understanding (model) changes. For example, the data for the domain might come from observations or other techniques like the AEIOU heuristic1, generating observations that change over time.
